  5. This CDROM contains over 2500 of the latest files from the popular Simtel
  6. Archive of freeware, shareware, and public domain programs.

  8. The 'simtel' directory contains many different categories of MSDOS
  9. application software.

  36. Quick Start Instructions:
  37.  
  38.   Windows 95 / 98 / NT:
  39.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  40.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  41.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  42.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  43.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  44.  
  45.   Windows 3.1:
  46.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  47.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  48.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.

  50.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  51.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  52.     Example:
  53.           C:\> D:
  54.           D:\> view
  55.  
  56. Using the 00_INDEX.HTM:
  57.  
  58. We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web browser
  59. to view our disc.

  61. In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point your
  62. Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.

  64. In Internet Explorer:

  66.   1. Click on "File"
  67.   2. Click on "Open"
  68.   3. Click on "Browse"
  69.   4. Choose your CDROM drive
  70.   5. Select the 00_index.htm file

  83. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView for
  84. Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs allow
  85. you to page through index files, browse through directories on the CD, view
  86. documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want onto your hard
  87. disk.

  93. This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can be
  94. considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are expected
  95. to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the program or image
